HEDO Rule`s as follows

Mandate:

HEDO is working towards achieving the following objectives for the benefit of its target group.

§ To concientize and create awareness among the people of poorest of the poor on prevailing socio-economic situation and encourage them for active participation in socio-economic development program.

§ To undertake suitable projects and programs with special emphasis on Primary Health Care/Family Planning & Family Welfare/Comprehensive Rural development or preservation of environment.

§ To Improve the Health, Knowledge, Attitudes, and Skills of the Students.

§ To promote basic rights for poor and marginalized, democratic decentralization & local self government, local governance & local justice, free & fair election, climate justice and youth & child rights.

§ To co-operate and assist in suitable joint venture with the governmental Organizations and agencies seeking the goal of redressing poverty and improving health status of common people or relief and rehabilitation at the time of any disaster.

§ To manage and facilitate the process of research in development sector

§ To work for protection of environment through climate change, disaster management and agricultural reform activities

§ To work for the betterment and development of children, youth and women to make sure their active participation in decision making process

§ To work for the Human rights, Justice and awareness of deprived communities, so that everyone has access to basic rights at equitable basis

§ To plan and execute Development, Relief and Rehabilitation programs within the terms of objects of the HEDO.

§ Women empowerment organizing, mobilizing, developing capacity and skills and creating provision of inclusion in decision making process in family and community enabling them to become economically and socially independent.

§ Protection and preservation of culture, language and tradition of tribal indigenous people.

§ To train up required number of volunteers on Family Health Care, Traditional Birth attendants and Functional Education etc.

§ To establish manageable Training Center for Community Development Training for various level of people.

To undertake skill development training programs for women society on handicraft, handloom, horticulture, pisciculture, and livestock.

MISSION: HEDO aims to uphold human dignity, equity and accountability through people’s active participation, capacity enhancement and access to resources, literacy and social awareness, self-reliance and self supported Community, community health and wealth liberation, Leadership development, Relief and Rehabilitation, Empowering women and encouraging people.

HUMAN EMPOWERMENT AND DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION (HEDO)

Human Empowerment and Development Organization – (HEDO) is a local non-governmental Organization, established in 15^th May, 2016 in Somalia. HEDO`s main thrust is to create an environment of socialization and cultural understanding, equitable distribution of wealth and mutual help, social justice, Peace, love and humanity. HEDO also aims securing rights of the poor and marginalized, good governance, sustainable livelihood development through promoting people’s participation at all levels of the state and society, accountability, capacity development and access to resources. According to the organization’s policy, special emphasis is given on women’s participation and in building poor people’s capacity towards disaster risk reduction and climate resilience. Networking at various levels and policy advocacy are the important areas of HEDO`s program implementation approach.

HEDO also undertakes awareness raising and community mobilization on protection issues on human rights particularly gender and child protection, and development through action researches assessment, and surveys on community priorities needs.

HEDO is managed by independent professionals whom have been experiencing practically & technically on various fields of capacity buildings on humanitarian sectors include Governance, protection and community development project.
